Propagation on RK13 cell line
Isolation conditions:
RK13, cells were maintained in minimal essential medium (MEM) supplemented with 10% calf serum, 2 mM L-glutamine, 500 g/mL amphotericinB, 60g/mL penicillin, 100g/mL streptomycin. For viral isolation 24-well plate of cells was incubated for two hours with 200ml of skin homogenate (10% w/v, PBS1X). At the end the cells were washed twice with PBS1X containing antibiotics and 1ml of complete medium was added to each well.
