Institut Pasteur Training course: next generation sequencing applied to enteroviruses.
Institut Pasteur Paris - In this 3-week course, the basic principles of methods used to generate full-length genomic sequences of enteroviruses by next-generation sequencing will be addressed by a combination of lectures, demonstration and hands-on training. Participants will perform all required laboratory and analysis procedures (except the preparation of the Illumina libraries that is performed by an external contractor). Topics included: sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction - reverse transcription and PCR - Sequencing on an Illumina platform and generation of the contigs using bioinformatics tools - Basic phylogeny for virus identification and genome annotation -
