Institut Pasteur Paris - In this 3 weeks course the basic principles of routine enterovirus molecular typing will be addressed by a combination of lectures, demonstration and hands-on training. Participants will perform all required laboratory and analysis procedures for routine typing of enterovirus. Topics included: sample preparation, nucleic acid extraction - reverse transcription and PCR - assay validation and quality control - Sequencing and sequence analysis - Basic phylogeny for virus typing.
